Re: “Biden Admin and Taliban Sideline Rescue Efforts

“Mr. Biden, the Taliban is breaking the safe-conduct promises you say they made. You can fix this with three phone calls. One to the State Department to order them to let the private flights proceed; the second to the Pentagon to order strike packages for Afghanistan, including Taliban forces in Panjshir and in and around Kabul (if you don’t know how, ask Mr. Obama how he got bombs to Syria); and the third to the Taliban, warning them that they have four hours to let our people go or we deliver American ordnance on targets (don’t tell them where!). And deliver on the threat if they refuse. It’s simple. You already know how to threaten; you did it to Ukraine a few years ago. Come on, man! What are you waiting for? Approval from Beijing?” —Minnesota

“He actually called it a ‘mission.’ It seems to me, in this military context, a ‘mission’ is a plan conducted to accomplish a strategic goal. Isn’t it hard to do that if we leave and are thus not there? It’s like playing a game of marbles with no marbles in your bag. Our true ongoing mission in Afghanistan was always to keep it from falling into despotism. That’s why we were there. Biden has scuttled that goal. Taliban despots now rule Afghanistan. To add acid to the wound, we have dead Americans and a hostage situation.” —Illinois

Re: “Is Biden’s Afghan Bribe for Deception Impeachable?

“Whether Biden’s phone call is impeachable or not will have to wait until at least late January 2023. As presently configured, there is no way a Democrat House will impeach Biden, period. Any effort to do so now is a complete waste of time and effort. Beyond that, though, what many warned when Trump was impeached was that the stage was being set for every subsequent president to be impeached for something. Do we really want to go down this road? Plus, I think it’s highly unlikely a Republican Senate would convict/remove Biden (Mitch McConnell has already said so) in the event he were to be impeached. Besides, do we want to get rid of Biden in favor of Harris? No!” —Tennessee

Re: “Biden Defends the ‘Extraordinary Success’ of His Afghanistan Disaster

“I do not understand why more people aren’t upset about those left behind in Afghanistan, both Afghan allies and U.S. citizens. Where are the voices in Congress calling for action? Where are the voices on the street? I hear my younger sons often start a political conversation with ‘If I were president…' Here’s mine: If I were president, I would be moving heaven and earth to get them out. No amount of caution or fear of condemnation would inhibit the actions I would take.” —Oregon

Re: “Dallas PD — The Case Against Allen West’s Wife Angela

“Wow, where do I start? You’re correct on DUI task forces. It’s an OT detail where numbers are expected. Officers who work this are expected to be proficient in this area. This was painful for me to watch. It was evident very early on this officer was fishing. The stop was good; after that it was straight BS. What did the officer see or smell after the stop to indicate any level of intoxication? In the day and age of cell phones, driving over any line is a nonstop occurrence. Issue a verbal warning or a citation and let this person go on their way, and get out there and stop a real danger. DUIs are like shooting fish in a barrel. This was nauseating. I’d have trouble passing that test after drinking my morning coffee.” —Pennsylvania

“Saw a good video last week on this subject. An officer was winning awards for the number of DWI arrests. Many of the arrests were made because he 'saw’ that they were intoxicated although blood tests came back negative. If cops want better treatment from the public, they have to stop this along with other things they do that, were it to happen to a member of their own family, they wouldn’t allow.” —Nevada

Re: “‘Fact-Checker’ Smears Gold Star Parents

“I learned in World History class that every tyrant in history has always set themselves up as the ONLY arbiter of truth and then declared everybody else wrong. They then start throwing their political opponents in jail. This qualifies Facebook and nearly all of the ‘fact-checkers’ as tyrants. How long do We the People put up with this?” —North Carolina

Re: “Biden Demands Consumers Buy 50% EV by 2030

“A tax on miles driven is truly regressive. The rich don’t drive much. Urban dwellers drive less than suburban and rural drivers. It affects the poor and middle far more than it affects the wealthy. Big business management flies because the business pays for it. Small business drives because they can’t afford to pay for it. The people who work for both of them drive. Government flies because the government pays for it.” —Virginia

Re: “History Should Unite Us

“We are a nation that began with men who were willing to pledge their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to create something very special. That they were fallible, as are most, only makes their dedication to the new land even more incredible. They gave us a roadmap to a future that would always aim toward improvement, knowing that perfection was unachievable but was always in our sights. As Americans, we can only choose to follow that roadmap toward something finer, learning from our mistakes. We should strive to right the wrongs, but should never use those wrongs to define what the country is. We who are also fallible should still try, looking toward a better future rather than dwelling on our imperfect past.” —California

Re: “The Hyping of Hate Crimes

“The term ‘hate crimes’ is gobbledegook worthy of dystopian science fiction. ALL crime is ‘hate crime.’ Worse: Differentiating penalties via congenital attributes or religious affiliation is discrimination. It contradicts ‘all are born equal’ and insists some must be treated more equal than others. It is NOT justice and it is immoral. Hate is required to assault, destroy, or take possession of another person or property. Asserting Cain was envious of Abel fails to acknowledge envy is a manifestation of our hatred of our Creator. We either love and worship our Creator (obeying His will) or we hate our Creator and fight His will (to our folly and damnation).” —Missouri
